Crockett & Jones offers a full refurbishment service for its Goodyear welted shoes and boots through all retail shops and stockists. Your shoes are returned to the factory in Northampton, where they are: stripped down, re-welted, re-soled and re-heeled on the appropriate lasts, to retain their shape, by our skilled craftsmen and women. Please note, factory repairs can take between 6-10 weeks depending on the time of year.
Aside from the factory repairs most of the Crockett & Jones retail shops can also recommend a local repair service, which is carried out by a reputable agent on our behalf and takes approximately 2 weeks. Our staff will organise this repair for you and contact you when your shoes are ready for collection.
It is important to note that Crockett & Jones only recommends using our own repair service or that of a recommended repairer via a Crockett & Jones retail shop. Repairing your shoes on the last that they were manufactured on is extremely important, by doing this Crockett & Jones can ensure the fundamental shape of your shoes remains the same. If you decide to have your shoes repaired elsewhere and damages or problems occur, Crockett & Jones will not be held responsible for the condition of your shoes following this repair.
Crockett & Jones are no longer liable for problems that can occur during wear once ‘half rubber’ or ‘stick-on-soles’ have been applied by a non-authorised repairer. The use of these soles can create an imbalance in the shoe and cause other problems through making the shoe too rigid. You will also lose any statutary rights as the balance of the shoe has been changed from its original format.
A fully bespoke service is available through our retail shop at 14 Rue Chauveau-Lagarde in Paris. This shop houses the workshop of the ‘Maître Bottier’ (Master Shoe Maker) Dimitri Gomez who creates made to measure shoes of the highest quality, using leathers from the best tanneries.
Each pair is completely hand made on a customer’s own last and takes around 6 months to complete, with a number of test fittings throughout.

Crockett & Jones retail shops offer a semi-bespoke service for the more discerning customers who wish to order a pair of shoes or boots to their own unique specifications.
Each pair is individually hand crafted to the customer’s choice of shape, pattern, upper material and sole type which can be selected from our extensive range of Lasts, styles and materials. The process normally requires one fitting within our stores to make sure the shape and form are correct and it enables you to see the patterns and swatches that are available.
The whole process takes around 8-10 weeks and prices start from around £600. If you already own a pair of Crockett & Jones shoes that fit you perfectly, and would like a special order on the same last as you are currently wearing, a fitting in store is not necessary.
We also offer the same service for our range of velvet slippers. We hold an extensive range of designs within our retail shops, as well as offering monograms and one off personal designs.
Different colour velvet uppers and linings are available and it is recommended to visit the shop so that you can decide on what size you require. Prices start from £215 and they take around 6-10 weeks depending on the time of year.
