Produced in March 1995. Last 325 is a Main Collection last, with a medium round toe and increased toe depth. Now in production for 30 years, 325 is a best-selling last with its own timeline. Famed for country styles and loafers, 325 offer plenty of room in the fore-part. Derby shoes are possibly the most versatile of all shoe styles, bridging the gap between smart and smart casual wear with ease. A Brogue Derby is easily the most recognisable variation, made popular with the introduction of the full country Brogue which was developed for practical uses in the fields. The sequence of operations for constructing a Derby, differs to an Oxford. Inside and outside Quarters are stitched to a tab point either side of the vamp and the tongue is cut as part of the vamp and is not a separate component. Often referred to as ‘Open Lacing’.

Cordovan is a rare and expensive leather, sought after by those who appreciate its oily sheen, which sets it apart from other leathers. This leather has a strong fibre structure, enhanced by its slow-age tannage, and is naturally dyed by hand in the tannery, before being hand polished when the shoe is made.Read more
All our men’s leather soles are cut from the highest quality hides, and have a strong tannage for extra durability. The soles are stitched in a groove, so that the stitching is visible from the underside of the shoe. After stitching, the soles are individually trimmed on the last, hand stained, and wax polished.Read more
